A week or so ago, Jillian shared a story with me about Charlie's naptimes . . . and messy, stinky, removed diapers (by Charlie herself!). It involved walls, sheets, blankets, the door and door handle. Scared me to DEATH! Well, not really, but . . .
So yesterday Chloe and Charlotte were at the house, and after a "yummy" lunch at McDonalds, it was naptime for littlest girl. Bearing in mind Jillian's delightful story (see above), I decided I wasn't going to be an addendum to "Tales of Charlie". So I took duct tape (yes ma'am) and made sure it wasn't going to happen on my shift. Add to that, Drew had dressed her in a onesie (meaning snaps at the crotch), and a cute little skirt that included attached shorts. Harvey and Ryan were watching me incredulously, so I shared the story with them, then firmly stated that I was now a grandma, and wasn't going to deal with such things anymore. "Won't do it.", I said.
So, armed with duct tape, and almost every other means to make it as difficult as possible for Charlie to monkey with her britches, I laid her down for her nap.
She had barely woken up when Jillian came to pick up the girls, so I didn't have the chance to remove the items from the "crime scene". And as you can tell from the picture below, Charlie really "had to go". I barely had the chance to snap this picture before Jillian took off the duct tape.
While I'm at it, I have to share another "potty" story. Thank heavens I didn't have a picture of this one, but your imagination will suffice.
Charlie is doing pretty good at potty training (at least for #1), and everyone tries to praise her when she's successful. Because of this, she's also very aware when anyone goes into our bathroom just off our family room. So when Bumpa went in to use the facilities, her eyes lit up. He almost closed the door all the way, but it was open enough for sound effects. Charlie ran to the door, cocked her head and listened. Listened . . . listened . . . Then "flush!". She stood up straight, clapped her hands and said, "Yay! Bumpa did it!" She was so proud of him!

hahaha Yay Bumpa!!! What a stinker! I totally would have duct taped her too!
