Our California Trip

We recently dropped Kyle off to live in California. It's the first time he's been away from home like this . . . it feels strange. I guess we're now "empty nesters". Hmmm, not sure how it really feels!

On our trip home we were able to visit some places in California (listed in no particular order):

Chandelier Drive-Thru Tree,Orick, CA. The Buick barely fit through!

Fern Valley, where the ferns grow straight out
of the little valley's walls. Beautiful!



We found the World's Largest Pumpkin Pie, made
in October 2003 by a high school culinary arts
class in Healdsburg, CA. Wish we'd have been there
to actually eat some!

And some beautiful vegetation in Santa Cruz, CA.
