It was a difficult road, with the illness of her mom and subsequent death from breast and brain cancer in August of 2006. She and her sister took a semester off to spend time with their mom the last few months of her life. Only a few days after Debbie's death, we loaded up their belongings and drove them back to school to start the next quarter. It was difficult to leave them there, we felt like we were abandoning them!
But, life goes on, and Bryanna triumphed with much sweat, tears, and hard work. We're extremely proud of her . . . she was a very successful participant in her school's mock trial team, winning a prestigious award at a competition in Portland, Oregon. And, to help her deal with her mom's loss, she's been a counselor at a cancer camp for the past two years. She loves it, and the campers love her!
Now she'll take a little time off to have some fun, then on to law school! She hates the saying, but she knows that "whatever doesn't kill you makes you stronger". We love her! Way to go, Bryanna!
With boyfriend, Tony.
With proud Uncle and Auntie.
